Project TT 450r going under the knife. Starting with a bone stock 04 450r, transforming into a semi low budget build, but they all start out that way!!  Motor just had a new Honda updated crank, oem bearings and seals. I already have a 14.1 Baldwin JE piston, Baldwin exhaust, crf cam and possibly doing a crf450 ignition swap. Not sure on whos doing the port work yet, either Led or our local guy. Arms and swingarm yet to be determined, I would like to find some Roberts stuff but we will see how it plays out. Deuce has really got me thinking about HRE as well. Naturally a Rath swaybar. Shocks will go to Andy at Maul Tech Atv, probly have oem's built for this project, along with his rear link. Probly go white on white with this one since I never finished the Houser, and yes, my powder coater loves me..lol   Heres the one pic I have, already started tearing it down, and more pics on that later. It will be off to powder in the next couple days, depending on work. Enjoy or complain about a 4-stroke!

Pretty much the same thing as doing a cr250 ign in a trx. Lighter flywheel and better timing curve. Plus I have a full crf ignition with a Sparks/Vortex 10 way cdi.

Had a free hour so this is what happened. Was hoping to have the frame to powder tomorrow but Im wiped out from work so this is as far as it got. Will be blasted, checked for cracks, welded if needed and a few unnecessary things removed to shave some weight. Going to lower the subframe 3/4" while Im at it. After xmas or when the Houser sells I will get more serious about what I will be using for suspension. Swar bar will be this weekend and possibly a stem. AC nerfs with IMS pegs are on their way. Heres how she looks now.

Being a 4 poker, I really shouldnt get involved, but if you want some good solid 450R advice contact Chuckie, my son-inlaw.
He finished 4th for 2013 season in the EDT Pro class.

Uses Venom Performance (John) for his engine stuff & John knows how to do a (LEGAL) 450R TT engine. Chuckie makes his own sway bars as well, CCR Racing.

You def have ADD.  Looking forward to seeing this come together.  I got the same problem.  Maybe we should be working the assembly line at some quad factory...it would save a lot of money.

for the crf ignition swap were are you getting the adapter plate from are you making this yourself or having one made ?
and you will also need to machine down the stator cove some, but that shouldn't be much of an issue also if I remember correctly you will need to have the flywheel machined also...
I know Dasa does this but im sure there are a few more, maybe BCS
