Hi all, 32 year old guy from syracuse ny. Not new to 250r's, I got my 84' at 14. In the past 2 years ive been on a bender buying the old 2 stroke toys Ive always wanted. Last week i picked up a 86 atc250r, and an 87 trx.

Welcome aboard!  Are you just buying up 2 stroke bikes or building them too?

A little of both. I got my first bike 20 years ago (I'm 32) and have been playing with bikes and quads on and off ever since. I bought my 84' 250r at 14 and had it for 6-7 years. Regretfully sold it but always wanted an '86 as thats as good as it gets. Never owned a trx or ridden one but wanted to know what all the hype was about. After buying the 88', I understand! It handles awesome! I have a bone stock banshee I trail ride and prefer the 250r.

As far as building goes, I'm trying to get all the little things like sticky calipers fixed first. I'd like to build a big bore 250r at some point though.

Yes, 98' rclb 12v 5 speed and an 02' qcsb 6 speed. Work on a fair amount of 4bts at work.

87' TRX is for sale now as I bought 2 88's.

Nice. I've got an 01 rot box. Thinking of swapping it into something down the line. Body is toast...

I'd love to put a 4bt into my Ranger...
