Chrome platers
« on: September 07, 2017, 04:57:28 PM »
Hey, does anyone know a chrome plating shop that is decently priced and does great work? All the shops around here I used to use closed up shop, and the ones who are left have really bad rating. Looking at getting a swing arm done, and few nuts and bolts, oh and a brake pedal. So shipping would not be pleasant, but will consider shipping across country.
Thanks

seems like more and more plating shops are closing all over.  the shop I use to use said it was due to the EPA.  I did find a new shop in my area (Cleveland, Ohio) that i'm going to get some stuff done.  At one time they did chrome work for Houser Racing.

Doing some browsing and most of everything has shut their doors. I'm browsing for Utah platers.

So what if you have minor pits it the metal? It that a no go? Must the surface be absolutely flawless of imperfections?
I'm sure the better the surface the better the outcome

I'm taking a load of parts to the new chrome shop.   I'll post up prices and the finished parts as soon as I can.

There is a guy in West Plains, MO who does it.  If you haven’t found someone, let me know and I’ll get his company info.
