What intake boot/manifold are you using? That is way way off

Looks like you have a really thick reed spacer on you engine & with the angle of the intake on the cylinder the thicker the spacer used the higher it raises the carb. Since your not running an air box there's no need to run such a thick spacer. There made more for alignment purposes than performance.

I sent all my parts to Arlen I'm sure he set it in right. the intake is from esr. it came with the 370 kit I bought from him about 5 years ago.

No to either option. Option 3 is to get a thinner spacer until the carb bell drops low enough to clear the frame.

After looking at the side pic of your carb a little closer I don't see the tell tale parting line between what would be the spacer & reed cage. Is that really how thick your reed cage mounting flange is or is there no reed cage in your engine & just a thick black spacer?

I would take that reed block out and machine half off!
