Lounge / Happy Thanksgiving!

Hopefully everyone is going to be with friends and family enjoying a wonderful meal together and relaxing. I thought it would be cool to see how others prepare their turkey, ham, goose, lamb, or......... I usually put our turkey in the smoker. A 15 pound bird usually brings the best results. It's always moist and delicious. So fellas post up how you cook your turkey, ham, goose, lamb, or whatever you have. Happy holidays my fellow R addicts, Loren

Carburetor, Intake, and Exhaust / Reed damage
« on: September 13, 2017, 12:42:37 PM »
Something that makes me scratch my head in confusion. Maybe someone can shed some light on this issue. I installed a brand new set of reeds in my vforce 3 reed cage in February 2016. I pulled them out about a month ago and they looked terrible. This has been a problem for me since buying my R. In 4 years I have bought 3 sets of reeds. It's very annoying at $60+ each time.
What would cause them to chip and fray in such a short time? I have about 50 hours on each set of reeds. I have a reed spacer that I was thinking about trying

A buddy just bought an 86 ATC250R for $500. It has a marking on the cylinder and I would like to find out who made it. The bike was originally bought in Oregon and the 2nd owner moved it to California. Thanks second owner is who my buddy bought it from. He said he bought it in Portland in the 90's and he never touched the motor. Any help is appreciated, Loren

Lounge / Toy hauler air compressor
« on: February 21, 2017, 04:49:08 PM »
I do a lot of sand camping and I have to deflate my truck and toy hauler tires to get out in the sand. I bring an air compressor that does a decent job of filling all my tires. It is a rigid 5 gallon, 4 cfm, 145psi from home depot. I'm worried about it giving up the ghost because of its age and amount of abuse it's handled. I'm looking for a potential replacement. This particular compressor is no longer available. I want an oil lubricated 4+ cfm@90psi 10-20 gallon portable compressor. Obviously the higher the cfm the better. I appreciate your help and ideas. Thanks, Loren

Lounge / Thumbs up for ESR
« on: January 24, 2017, 07:18:18 PM »
I ordered a few things from ESR a few days ago and received my order extremely fast. I was very impressed with the quick shipping. I did however find my order was a little wrong. I ordered a shift drum bearing for the left case but actually received the right case. I just emailed Eddie and respectfully explained the situation. Eddie responded within 15 minutes and gave me the tracking number for the correct bearing. I offered to send the other bearing back to him, but was told to keep. I really appreciate what ESR does for my true love....

Lounge / Toy hauler advice
« on: July 27, 2016, 09:28:38 PM »
So after trying out a 11.5' camper and trailer for the last two years I've decided to look at buying a 5th wheel toyhauler. I've put 8 tires on and had two cracked wheels in two years. Anyway.... I think I want a 36' ish toyhauler with a 12' garage. I'm hoping someone here has had some experience with a 3612 raptor or a cyclone 3795 or something similar. Thanks Loren
