TerraFab Swingarms / A little bit about us
« on: September 14, 2017, 12:03:14 PM »
Hello everyone!

I wanted to say Hi and share some backround.

I have been involved with motorcycles or ATVs all my life. I have raced motorcross on a state level and won or placed top four in several state championship series, Semi-competitive Freestyle motorcross, ATV motocross(pro state level) serious dune riding and sand drag racing. These things are what drove me to build TerraFab Swingarms. I was tired of not being able to find the parts I needed or something custom that would be different from everyone else. I have personally built several amazing bikes and hybrids over the years(see our project bikes page on our website) with our custom parts.

We have been providing custom built ATV swingarms and drag parts to satisfied customers for over 11 years on a part time basis. Over the years we have grown into one of the leading suppliers of Custom Extended ATV Swingarms and Custom Drag Parts all while keeping our company small and grounded.

Recently, I was caught in a lay-off in my full-time J.O.B and now have to rely on TerraFab as my sole income to support my family. So, when you buy from us we value you as a customer more than ever, because your helping put food on the table and pay bills. This also allows us to invest back into the company to grow our company and offer more products to you, in order for you to build that dream bike you always wanted. We know what it is like to not have the custom parts available when you have a vision of what you want to build and nobody makes it. That is exactly how Terrafab got started. You see, I am a custom bike builder/rider that also had a vision for something different, and I want to continue to make those parts available to you.

We believe, to keep our customers satisfied, we offer them great products and amazing service. Terrafab is your one stop shop for all your suspension and drag part needs.

Due to moving this company into a full-time venture we will soon be ramping up and getting back into building custom front-ends, steering drag stems and extended frames and more. More parts and products will be coming very soon, so sign-up for our newsletter and follow us on FB and Instagram for future details.
Thank you for all of your support over the years.

Have a great day!

Drag Racing / Re: Swingarm Length Choice
« on: August 26, 2017, 09:54:07 AM »
I always say for trails and duning +8 is on the long side if you want ride-ability for it’s not a straight line bike. If you ride a lot of trails and general duning +4 runs great for all around. Hill shooting and drag racing +8 will be a good length for what your wanting. Another tip drop the ride height down about 2”. Just remember that the longer the wheelbase the wider the steering radius is so tight turns aren't as easy with a longer swingarm. Hope this helps.

Hey CROAT1 I checked out that link and thats a nice project. I build the same combo in one of our builds(see our website for pictures and more to come soon) It was really challenging and fun. We built a custom set of center pipes that looked trick. It was a fun bike to ride but was a tire roaster. We ended up pulling the engine out and modifying it even more and custom building the green Banshee completely from the ground up. That is also one of the chassis we built.
