Race Report!
Round 2 of the WFO Championship Series was probably the craziest race I have ever done!
I start the race with a holeshot and led the first lap, but.... the track arrows where not correct and we got doubled back on to a never ending 5 minute loop! After a couple laps we stop the race because the arrows are wrong!
It was decided we would restart the race. I again pull the holeshot and continue to lead the first lap until my front left tire goes flat for an unknown reason. I end up falling back to second and fight the front end of the bike for the entire rest of the race. I managed to hold on to it and finish the race in 2nd Place. I pulled off the track and a friend of mine notices not just my left front tire was flat, but so was my right front tire! Both seem to be from a bead issue, and not a hole.
Im happy with a 2nd place with all things considered. But it would have been fun to be battling with Shea Dickson for first. Congrats to him on the win!
I want to say thank you to my Wife Anne Burnham and sons Cam and Link. Your support means everything to me! Also thank you to my Dad for his support and help this season.
Also thank you to Neil Giesmann for coming along and helping me out at the track and taking some sweet photos!
I also want to thank all my sponsors that help make this season possible!

thats awesome kyle! that is pure diligence to complete a race with flat tires; not to mention a directional error on the track managers.

Thanks. Im pretty sure my left front tire is fine, the bead lock was bulged/bent outward, maybe from running to low of air pressure. I only had 6 in them for the sand track. I dont know about the right front.

good job Kyle!!!

Well done Kyle. Can't say I've ever heard of that happening to a track. Bet the track crew is embarrassed lol.
How is your stock frame holding up? I'm assuming you've got the Pumsahine kit? I've been meaning to work on my OEM 86' frame because eventually I'd like to retire the Laeger from racing.

Sweet deal Kyle, congrats! Bummer about the restart and the tire.

Hole shot video. This is the second holeshot. Put a nice gap on them.

Kyle how are your 81 mm bore 370 motors holding up? I like the idea but worried about how thin the cylinder is are you having any problems with these
-
So far so good. I did refresh it this off season. I haven't noticed any issues with the "thin" sleeve. Had a decent amount of race hours last season and only 5-6 hours this season, but nothing but good things to say!
