Title: 89 Honda Pilot Rotax 670 conversion
Post by: rjt500r on September 24, 2016, 10:37:44 PM: What an awesome machine!! It absolutely rips with this engine . 95 Skidoo mach 1 670, I have a couple of trips to the dunes since I completed the conversion.

I can't take credit for the engineering though. I actually bought part of a kit offered by Farr-offroad. It's a company in Canada that has complete kits for the conversion for the Pilot and the FL350.

Post by: JTRtrx250r on September 26, 2016, 10:33:35 PM: raced an FTZ FL350 w/ NOS set up like a mini sprint for 12 yrs and seen just about every creation under the sun, most never worked well (sled motors, streetbike motors, etc) except the cr500 topend, that guy gave me a run.. but that set up even LOOKS like it'd work, haha. Very cool!!

Kevin, I don't know what your talking about. My GPS said I never got over 24mph!!

It is night and day different from what it was and It wasn't stock when I got it. It had a pipe, power bloc clutch, V-Force reeds and actually I was a little disappointed in it's performance. Even though it made the FL350 we had seem like a total dog. It rips but I'm still fine tuning it, it taps out on the top end too soon so I'm working on the clutch set up to get that dialed in. But make no mistake this thing is an absolute blast!!

Honestly I don't know. I've only had it out a few times, I did go up against a built Banshee over labor day at Winchester and he did get around me. Still trying to dial in the clutch set up.

Currently having carb problems it shotguns the tailpipe when we accelerate ...
Did you have any adjustment problems...?

Post by: rjt500r on December 06, 2017, 07:29:27 AM: Never had any carb issues. What carb set up are you running? My set up is the Seadoo jetski 657X with dual Mikuni 38mm. Are you sure its the carbs? Is your rotary valve set correctly?
