Can the OEM 250R Front Shocks be Rebuilt?

I've got a new restoration project going and am wondering if the OEM front shocks on the TRX 250R can be rebuilt?  I have yet to take the shocks off the machine so I'm wondering if it has a removable seal head like the rear shock?  For some reason when the shock gets compressed too far it gets hooked up and doesn't fully rebound.  It could be a slightly bent shaft--not sure yet.  After searching the internet it appears the 400EX is a direct bolt-on replacement.

I would try the 450r fronts. A little grinding on the top mount and a lot better than OEM 400ex or 250r. If you are running standard Aarms they will be stiff. With 450r you get a rezzies and compression and rebound adjustments.

I have 450r shocks revalved with a triple rate spring kit. For standard travel I couldn't ask for more. And having them dual adjust is a nice feature. I know most will disagreed but for standard travel shocks they are a good choice for the price. If you want high end shocks go long travel.
