Burns350R Race report.

Had a good weekend fellas. Pulled 3 of 4 hole shots this weekend. The only reason i didnt get 4 was the first moto jetting was way off due to the super cool 55 degree temps. Ended up stalling on the line. After that i got the jetting dialed in and away we went. The BDT ported 363 had great power all weekend.

The track is called Riverside Raceway and they just re did the track prior to this race. And let me tell you it sucked. They put in a lot of woops sections that are two far apart to double or float. You end up crashing into every single face. On top of that the doubles have super steep take offs where you bottom out if you hit them hard enough to double. So this is why you dont see me hit any big jumps very hard. I would lay frame on the take off and cause me to do some really funky shit in the air. The bike guys liked the track a lot, but all of us quad guys had a lot of trouble. Couple that with 10" deep bike ruts in almost every corner and you have the worst quad track ever.

There where only 4 of us int he A class this day. One of them being a good friend Tanner Gipple who is a heck of a rider. The blue 02 Yamaha is last years points champion that i chased point's with all season. The 4th rider is currently 2nd place in points for the state behind me.

Here are a couple of the vids from the weekend. You can see the power of the 363 by how many bike lengths I'm pulling on these guys in the hole shots. I was a lot faster than tanner on the front section of the track, but he would gain some serious ground on me on the back section of the track in the woods. I was fighting all kinds of traction issues with the R. I was loose as crap int he back sections and super hooked up in the front sections. I'm not sure how you combat that issue. Adjust tire pressure would seem that it would help one issue and hurt the other.

Kyle, welcome to the kind of tracks that I get to race on. lol. You just described half the local tracks in my area. Although, I will say that those whoops did look a little uglier than usual. Looked like a rough ride. The bikes love these new steep faced "supercross" style jumps. I, however, do not. It makes quads jump rather ugly. That seems to be the growing trend right now with track designers. I say keep the supercross in the arenas, and keep the motocross outside.

Congrats on some nice holeshots.  It's kind of sad though on the turnout these days.  How many quads were in the B class?  You said there were only 4 A riders.  It seems like every year around us is less and less.  Was not unuasual for us to have like 4 heats of 12 for the 2stroke B class and a full gate of A riders at the races.

This track is especially bad.  Bad payout, they dont groom the track between moto 1 and moto 2.  They cater to the bikes.   I usually see 5-8 A class quads at other tracks.  But yes quads are on the downward slide for attendance.  I assume its just to expensive.
