Puck style stabilizer question
« on: November 24, 2013, 10:55:53 PM »
I found a ccp puck style stabilizer on CL a guy is selling for $150. He say's it's for a yfz 450 or a kfx 450. First off is that stabilizer worth 150 used? & second do you guy's know if this particular one will physically fit on the 250R? I have access to a mill so making mounts to fit my frame is no problem as long the stabilizer will fit between the frame rails. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Brand new they are only 175-200 ish.... Might as well buy a new one... I think cranked up gear has them specifically for the 250r .... I'd go new from him....

For $50 more you can get a new one from cranked up gear. Your time alone on the mill will cost More then $50. Plus the fact that if you buy from crankedupgear it guaranteed to be new and fit correctly

I say you buy the CCP puck stabilizer from CrankedUpGear. What if the used one needs rebuilt? Who knows how many hours or how well maintained it was.

Motofool sells those CCP stabllizers, would be good to support our 250r brethren

I didn't know the ccp stabilizers were that reasonable in price, I need to get one for both of my R's. How are they compared to the precision ones, are they just as good bud priced for us broke fellas.

I want a couple also but I'm broke.

Ive learned that my time is valuable. While its is cheaper up front to buy a used part, the time and money spent to look and work as a new part is not worth the time and effort. In the long run your better off fronting the money and buying new. done deal. And less headache.

If I have ever learned anything from my current job, its what is stated above. Some people see buying new things as throwing money around. In the long run its actually more efficient.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll be saving my beer bottle money & pick one up from cranked up gear. I guess I better start drinking on more than just the weekends:glee::tickled_pink:
