So i guess i will finally get going with this motor. It really bugs me seeing it on the shelf everyday when i get home from work.  I have a whole bunch of questions because this motor is wayy out of my league. I'll start with getting my frame up to par if thats possible with an oem frame and this motor. Im gonna double up the lower mounts so that they don't break. are those the one that normally break or should i worry about the front triangle mounts also? or anything else with the frame?

I know Shane ran his Saber in a OEM frame with stock mounts and didnt have any issues.

Yes sir jamie. I put a lectron carb on the motor just to see if i could clear the frame and all. Is it gonna be a problem that it is tilted clockwise just a bit?

Most important issues with frames on big bores comes from the cranks not being balanced in relation to the piston. The other frame breaking problem is a misaligned CB gear. Or CB lightened too much. Last but not least is when one mount comes loose and the rest have to take the load.

Ok so i believe troy said the crank was balanced and by the counter balancer being misaligned do you mean the dots on the gears not lined up? Is there really a way to tell if the cb has been lightened too much?

Yes the dot alignment. When your bike feels like a foot massager then the vibes are gonna tear the frame apart if the CB is that light.  No CB lightening for Puma or Saber. Just 370 and below

Ok so i'll double check the dots and make sure the bolts are tight. Does the carb normally sit a little tilted with these topends?
