Haven't really mapped it out. Just did a quick search as far as how long it'll take to get there. I'm seeing 15 hours. Plus I figure another hour for who knows what.

Colin (pinned) is right, it's not too late! I know you're right over the border from us. Be easy to hook up and get a mini convoy heading out there! Be part of the first ever ORGy get together!
I wish I could Im just not going to have all my ducks in a row for July to work for me....
ive got a daughter graduating college and all my extra funds are going to her and not my quads, just not financially ready this time :apologetic:

I hope to find out if we are going on our Harley trip within a week.  If we are not I am going to have to come over.  Just trying to see which is better to drive around the bottom or top or take the boat across to get there.  Anyone know what the boat ride across is all about?

Im guessing you're talking about the SS badger right? if so that comes to my town, and is about a 30 minute drive to the dunes. I havent checked rates on the badger, but if you had your R in your truck bed, that'd obviously be the most affordable way. Im sure someone will have empty space in their enclosed trailer to park it when youre at the hotel for the night or something.
I ride PINNED! Therefore, no bdt in this household.

I am pretty sure that is what it's called.  Either in the back of my truck and stay at a hotel or in a 6x12 trailer and camp in that.

Yeah your ferry coast would be a little more with the trailer, but who knows, maybe it would be overall less, compared to getting a hotel or campsite!

I have taken the ferry accross to go to silverlake many times, but has gotten more and more expensive.Id call and ask if i were you. Night rates are cheaper and trailer rates go by footage from tongue to back. Putting it in the back of the truck is definetly cheaper. I think the next time i go im just going to drive around. The ferry ride is 4 hours but you have to get there like an hour early and then wait for unload then drive to silverlake. So all and all you save maybe an hour or so with the boat. The boat ride is alot more relaxing than driving though!!!!
