I'm in the same boat as you. But I only need the one piston, the one without the shaft for parking break. I wonder if a piston from another bike would work. I got to thinking after seeing this http://www.ebay.com/itm/HONDA-TRX250R-ATC250R-TRX-ATC-250R-REAR-BRAKE-CALIPER-PISTON-OIL-SEALS-KIT-/400656017567?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d48f5a89f&vxp=mtr#ht_44wt_651 but not to long ago he had these listed at $49 and in his discription it used to say that the shaft would need to be ground down some. So I thought maybe they are from a different bike. I found that the Yamaha YFZ you would have to order the set (2pistons 4 seals) like ebay shows. I also wonder if 450R front pistons would work for the one I need. It calls out that the piston as being 25x27 and when measuring mine it like 25.34x26. Anyone have any insite on this?

Front TRX250R brake pistons will work in the rear TRX250R caliper. I've been running them for a few years without issues. One catch though, I had to TIG plug weld the parking brake hole in the rear caliper to make it work.

Some day we may need a billet plate/ adapt made up for the use of a 450r rear caliper.
If it is not too hard I bet someone like esr may be able to address this at some point.

Sweet T.
It would be nice if we had the specs/ability to still use the 250r disc and hub with that caliper...

crf 450 caliper works, you just have to oblong one of the holes in the brake stay.

thanks guys, given me some ideas to think about. Tbone your solution seems the go but only problem is i have a LSR antifade hub so not sure how thats gonna work?
Dirtyd do not buy that kit!! i bought one and the pistons are too long which leaves no room for the pads and disc to fit, im having an argument through ebay as we speak. The guy wont give me a refund until i send them back, well im in australia and already spent $30 to get them here and another $30+ to send back for a $50 refund! man i hate ebay deals

Vroomy that is exactly the situation I had with Bear81(Hardcore atv I believe) on ebay. Item wasn't as described and it would have cost me more money to send it back just to end up losing money by sending it back. Ebay sucks sometimes.

Hey Tbone, will that caliper work with an antifade?

I imagine it would work with a 450R antifade if it works with an OEM 450R brake hub. The 450R hub is a 3-bolt design, 250R is 4
