Glad you made it over! Hows the seat latch project doing?
hey tony the seat latch is a little slow as a result of i need a stock bike to test it on that is complete. Barry has one but he is always to busy. the rear hinge part is a complete bolt on application. all stainless. the front part needs to be tweaked abit the front mount was modified and the piece i made was by cutting the buckets out and repositioning them so they can just drop down on top off the mount. i had a frount mount made out of stainless and it needs to be tweaked.
to resolve all issuses i need a stock bike to work uot the rest of the bugs. i am at 95 % finished. when its finished i will polish it and see if there is any intrests to merket it. although that iwas not my original intention to market it. i would think maybe some mite want this for there 86 and 87 r's. the rear hinged part incorperates the knob style omf bracket design to hold the complete seat in place. i will keep you posted. i have your seat bracket and knobs on my desk. the machine shops price wants $ 140 to reproduce 1 of these brackets.
ithe price would drop if i order 10 20 50 you get the idea. but i can't put up that $$$$$ not to make any. i'm still in search for another shop. a friend of mine i play vallyball with said he would look at it. he is a shop forman at a machine shop. he's been a no show the past 3 weeks. its also prime time for work for me and i have had no progress on my build.
By the way i posted on the other forum it was unfair to boot you and not carlos and challenged that there should be new rules and then give all a chance for a new. and not just to dump the seamingly unwanted in there eyes and then start new rules.
wasent long i got a long winded pm from carlos given me his opinion and acting the superior within the contect of hi message. just to say i through in my .02 for you.
hope alls well now that im all flowed and flowered
