So I just got myself a 250r and am so excited! The thing runs like a pig though, the bike is in pretty great shape other wise though, it was set up to run in the dunes in cali, now I have it all the way up here in Utah, so it has a full pro circuit exhaust and vforce3 reeds.. it also has a mikuni carb, which from what I've been reading isn't stock?
It had a 165 main and 58 pilot, I dropped the main 4 sizes to a 155 and it runs a little better.. off full throttle it'll pick up and go decent, not as quick as my cr250 though, it won't pick the front tires up even with me sittin on the back, I only weigh 170.. the guy has 40:1 in the tank, I have the brand written down somewhere, I'm gonna transfer it over to klotz r50 so I can use the same gas for both my bikes.. anybody got any tips? Or even know what mikuni carb I have?

Stock carb is keihin 34pj. The most popular carb is 38as, which might be the same as your cr. Sounds like keihin numbers on the jets Idk. About a 3% change for every 1000' in elevation change. Is your clutch slipping?

Well I think I'm actually running to fat onlow throttle openings, which I feel like will fix quite a bit, its still running the plug a little black and a full throttle plug chop.. need to get some more plugs to test this out though.. clutch is brand new and isn't slipping
