I have the 06+ setup on a XC 250r and it is working out well. I found 06+ spindles alot cheaper and I had the rest of the parts. Going to the mojave this weekend so I will let you know about bump steer.

I plan on buying a set of jd long travel maximum ground clearance a arms. It sounds like 04/05 spindles are the way to go. Does anyone see a problem with going this route? Maybe I should just ask jd? I also was wondering if anyone knows if the wheel spacing/width is different between 04/05 and 06+?

I have the 05's on mine with +2/+1 lonestar arms and couldn't be happier..

Ex and 06+ increase your width a 1/2" per side.

I just recently got a set of mgc arms from JD performance for my 450. Great product and great customer service. Dave is a great Guy.
