Anyone looking for a great builder I highly recommend the following.
For CP products dealers I would recommend:
Arlan at LED(site sponsor), Pete Schemberger at Hybrid Engineering, Mat Shearer at Shearer Custom Pipes, Dennis Packard at Packard Racing, and Nate McCoy of McCoys Peformance.

Other great builders I also would recommend: Neil Prichard, Jerry Hall, Bubba Ramsey and James Dodge.

Maybe I miss understood something, but I didn't think they were billet..I was thinking some kind of chromoly steel or something...Dave do you know for sure on the material...I call every week and Arlan says he will have 2nd gear in any week now to complete the 3 gear set...I'm defiantly one of the first in line to put it all on the line for these new gears, maybe no more shattered 1st an 2nd gears and busted cases...I can't afford another blow out....

I have not talked with Arlan just what I have read but have a guy interested in when they are available and the cost.

Hopefully Arlan is using the same guy Nate McCoy used because those gears have been holding up great.

I know from talking to Arlan that they definitely aren't aluminum. Some metal alloy I had written down before but misplaced it.

I'm pretty sure he said they were 8620 alloy steel. Maybe it was in the chat box. I did jot that down from somewhere

The gears are made from 8620 Alloy Steel. Second gear is being cut Monday. It then goes to heat treating. I am hoping to be able to ship the following week, probably Tuesday or Wednesday. Fingers crossed!!
We will be selling a set of wheel gears, countershaft 1rst, 2nd and 3rd. Introductory price is 509.85 for the set. We hope to make the complete transmission if these gears sell. We also plan to offer a service to build gears that are discontinued for the vintage market. We plan to offer shift forks also, but it all rides on whether there really is a market for these parts. It they don't sell, We will discontinue.

ya zeroshift would be the transmission of all transmissions .   it appears theyve already made some for trannys similar to dirtbikes. i imagine it would just be a matter of sending them a tranny and a pile of cash and they could make something.  it sure looks like it would be the ultimate drag tranny plus you could still ride it normal.

This is great to hear Arlan!  I hope these sell well and we see some shift forks down the road.  For reference, I believe the Yukon gears were 4320 steel so in layman terms can you comment on why you chose to go with 8620?  Better strength in that size or other reasons?

We believe a better hardness to strength combination.

Thanks Arlan.  Any changes to the ratios or are those the same as OEM (I assume later model years)?
