Troybuilt put YFZ boot on his budget build and said it worked great. I'm going to go down this route as well and get away form the ESR intake. The ESR is a good intake just not good for a muddy, wet MX race!

Nice pic sam, it shows how the boot is straight out and doesn't go around the shock, and I am gonna get me a yfz boot for the walsh. Because the oem trx 250 boot has just a little disconfiguration to it.

Correct, the box I reverse engineered for Jerry was originally drawn up by Mike (honda265r??)  anyway....  the yfz boot works with this box and has more room.  The 450r box will not work, I have both airboxes at my disposal and the 450r will not fit.  Note, before anyone tries to get a yfz boot on a stock 250r box, don't the yfz boot has a much larger opening where it connects to the box, you'll need a custom box which is what I modified on the original designed box from Mike.  So I can run YFZ boots, with 250r Uni filters and not have to pay 100 bucks more for the Pro Design billet ring and filters...  hope that makes sense.  I can make more of them.
