wishing i had sprung for the billet version. I am having trouble waiting on the cast to roll off the line and onto peoples door steps lol

Same here. If they want to do more field testing on the cast versions before they release it I'll do some field testing! Lol

Has anyone received the cast carb yet?  I want to buy one but they couldn't tell me when it would be delivered.

Goodluck with the cast version.  I pre-ordered when they first released the pre-order.  waited 6 months and just went with billet

almost another 6 months later and they still haven't released the cast version.

I love my billet though and hope the cast performs just as well at a lower price

Brewer.  Does the billet work as we expect it to?  Clean crisp throttle /power and no need for adjustment once set up?

I have been doing this stuff for a lot of years and very seldom do I find a new product like this live up to its marketing claims.  I would like to test one of these on the dyno and on the track back to back with a well tuned........ same size Mikuni or Keihin carb.  Any one want to send me their carbs to test?

there was a video showing +3hp with the smart carb but im skeptical. from what i recall they mentioned not being real familiar with using a dyno which throws a wrench in  the accuracy of the test i would think. plus the pwk they were using they didnt even jet it but was pre jetted from someone elses recomendations if i recall. lord only knows what kind of tuning experience the third party user has. unless im recalling wrong which has happened before lol. this type of test needs done by a professional with experience. not some monkeys in the editorial department of a magazine
to much power is almost enough

Arlan at led is gonna be starting a puma build with 40mm smart carb in a ktm atv chassis for me in the next month, he is gonna dyno it and tune it in, he was skeptical about the smart carb, maybe he will do a comparison with a pwk

I have a cast one on order. I should be getting it in the next week or two. Yes, there is a youtube video where dirtrider magazine runs a back to back dyno test on a ktm 300 against a keihin jetted to factory recommend specs. The video explains that the dyno is brand new, not the guy running it. It also explains that the keihin carb ran clean on the graphs (meaning it wasn't cheated). While I can't speak for the cast version's performance since I haven't tried one, the billet versions do exactly as claimed. Ask somebody who has got a billet one. They work extremely well. They make the engine run very smooth/crisp. You can hold a lower gear a little longer and pull a taller gear a little easier. It's one of the best improvements I have seen to widening the power band on a two stroke IMHO.
