esr 370 tuning questions

Just put a brand new esr 370 with the 5 mil crank together. It has the 9 port with 5b std pipe with 40.5 kiehin carb 55 pilot 190 main dgh needle in the forth slot from the top. Gearing is 14/38 with 20 in 8 paddle haulers. When I finally got the bike running good I went on sand highway at Gordon's well and bike runs great thru fourth gear when shifting two fifth it stops pulling and holds the speed or gradually increases speed. Bike runs clean thru all rpms plug looks good nice dark tan. I am expecting too much for bike to pull fifth and sixth gear. It seems like it should pull fifth and sixth in the flats probably not in the dunes. Looking for any suggestions gearing pipe or whatever.

I would say that the 190 is too big. It should easily pull 5th down sand hwy. I cant remember what is in my 40.5, I'll check when I get home. My bike will pull 15-36 down sand hwy Glamis in 5th with 22 8pdle haulers.

I have a 182 and 55 pilot in mine I think its a lil rich when it's hot but rips when it below 70 degrees. I broke it in with a 190 jet. But I'm in ohio would still think your running rich.
