:character0029: bought a quad from my boss, its been sitting for 12 years.  I miss my old R and thought it was time to get back to my roots.

The frame is a un-used/new LRD frame.  It came with the quad.  I'm trying to decide if I should keep it or sell it.  I also have a new set of matching attitude nerf bars.  Not sure if I would regret selling the frame.  The first pics were in the my bosses barn.  The clean picture is in the driveway after a bath.

Just a recommendation, if you're going to be repowdering the 89, look into putting some lower rear motor mounts on it as the LRD has. I just did this on my 89 as all 3 other mounts aquired cracks or breaks of some sort. Obviously i must not have checked the bolts often enough, but regardless, theres a mount on the motor for a reason IMO
I ride PINNED! Therefore, no bdt in this household.

Thanks for the recommendation on the mounts.  I'm trying to decide if I should keep the frame or sell it.  I don't ride as hard as I used to so the stock frame that has been gusseted will hold up (unless I get a wild hair).  I also purchased a set of matching LRD attitude nerf bars for the frame that are new.  The Frame is cleaned up now, I'll probably set the nerfs on and take a picture.

I'd keep the frame if I were in your shoes.  Look forward to seeing this come together.

Check out higgy's lrd attitude build before you make the decision to sell it...... You got a nice 89 by the way & it's rad that you came back to your roots.

I've seen pictures of Higgys quad and it is a good looking quad.  I believe Higgy was the one who told me to buy the attitude nerf bars while they were available
