Will these also work for the trx250r? I know others said to use 04-05 but found a really good deal on them. Also if they do work is there anything special I need? Thanks in advance for the help.

will they fit YES will the geometry be perfect NO, you will need adjustable hiem's upper a arms to make a nicer ride quality...of course you will need the 450r full brakes and calipers also

just an FYI the 06 thru 14 spindles hubs brakes and rotors and calipers are all the same..

The upper ball joint mount is further inboard than R spindles. As Barry eluded to you will need to adjust the upper arms in, run ex arms, arms designed for ex spindles such as roll or gibson

That sounds a little complicated. Will going with the 04-05 spindles and hubs be easier to use. If I. Have to spend more on the other to make the project go easier I will. I'm new to the 250r so that's why all the questions. Don't really have anyone round me that can help out here. I was told at one point that all I needed for the 04-05 conversion was the tie rods for them and of course brakes an all also.  Other than that nothing else. It looked like it worked really well on his bike also.

If your upper arms are adjustable they might work. What arms do you have? A lot of people run ex spindles and they have similar upper issues as the 06+ 450's. If you do decide to run the 04-05's remember that the hubs don't interchange. The 04-05's cost more because they are popular with 06+ 450 guys.

I think I'm going to buy a new set of lonestar plus 2 a arms. If I do the 04-05 I will be buying the whole setup, hubs, spindles, brakes, etc. I think just regular travel a arms cause I don't jump huge hills or anything like that. Also I'm using a stock 86 gusseted frame if that matters at all.

I've tried all these combinations and you would be better off looking for a set of 250r 89 spindles and new hubs.  As suggested above, you really want to run a-arms designed for the 400ex/450r spindles.  They work perfect with my Rolls but were not so great with my +2 JD performance arms.  Stay away from the 04/05 as it requires way too much money to get it right and nothing can be interchanged and you really won't be able to gain anything from it unless you are a pro racer. As far as hubs, all 400ex, 89 250r, and 06 - 14 trx450 all interchangeable with 88 and up R spindles.  88 250r spindles have a shoulder and require you to remove the tapered sleeve inside the hubs.  Hope this helps...
