I have been looking for a while for some new shocks for my R. I have narrowed it down to two options. The first one is the Fox Float X Evol or the PEP Zps front piggybacks. They are both front shocks. Can somebody give me their opinion.

I agree with Dan on this. The Custom Axis customer service is top notch. The FOX will dive into the corners more than a spring shock and they probably won't make a shock for your application. The PEP ZPS are junk in my opinion, they are just like works with different springs and usually the compressed lengths are way too short and you will bottom your frame on the ground. The PEP PB1 are great shocks but again good luck on getting the correct lengths and they are WAY too much money for what they are! Another option would be GT Suspension if you aren't wanting to spend much for a great shock.

Ya i rode a bike with custom axis and i didnt like the. Because they were super stiff. I'm goin with the PEP because i don't trust the fox technology with the shock with no springs. My dad has PEP on his bike and I love them.

A shock is only as good as the guy who set it up. Almost any shock can be amazing.

Those shocks were absolutely not set up for that bike then.

Good advice Dan... I have been telling Corey, its not so much the brand as it is how they are set up. The Custom Axis's he rode were a friend of ours that has a long travel Walsh set up for a 200lb MX rider, of course they are going to feel stiff. I think what Corey is after is a shock that is great for aggressive cross country style riding, that's the type of riding we do. I think what we are looking for is mid price shocks in the ($1200-$1400) range for a 100lb rider XC style of riding. We appreciate everyone's advice.
