I have these odd arms. Mystery brand. No clue who made them and when I asked no one else knew.
Anyway...
16½" shock are way to short. My question is,
How do I measure for shock length?

Andy would probably be the best one to answer this. I'm probably off but have you checked to see what the measurement is between the top and bottom shock mount when the bike is raised in the air just so the front tires are barely touching the ground?

If the arms are installed just use a jack to set it at the ride height you want & measure to get you in the ball park. I'm sure theres a more scientific way to do it but this should get you close.

No, the arms I'm talking about are not the textiera. Those require some crazy long shocks. Like 19¾ long.

The arms in question are some what of a MGC arm. I had burgard +3's. Changed to these mystery arms and used the same shocks. The 16½" shocks were so soft I almost went over the bars when i hit the brakes.

This was over a year ago and the quad has been sitting ever since. I just figured I better get on this cause my quads just sitting is fkn lame.

Set a 12in stand under your bottom frame rails with all shocks removed and measure eye to eye. Then get a 1.5-2in block and put it under the frame rails and again measure eye to eye. Those are your compressed and uncompressed shock lengths

Get those measurements to Andy and he'll point you in the right direction.

Your a arms look to be on upside down and they abit like chapman ones, they use the same rosé joint  attachment to the frame
