Thanks pumashine. Had low compression.  Pulled the cylinder off.  Rings were stuck on the piston. Got one slightly freed. Letting some penetrating oil work for awhile. Bore and piston looked good orherwise...

Slightly rich! The piston skirts look good. Clean up the carbon in the ring grooves, hone the cylinder, new rings, you should be good!

Does look like there was a threaded end of a bolt bouncing around in there. Is the stator working? One of my Counter balancer bolts broke off and I took it out. Later the threaded part of the bolt came out and destroyed a brand new stator from Honda.

If the rings are just bound up by gum you can use some carb cleaner to get it off. Not seeing it was bound by aluminum in the pics.

Got the rings off.... I can't remember if the stator was working or not.  Going to put the top end back together once I get new rings. I guess I'll be able to tell if the stator is working when I can kick it over....
