LSR +2 A-Arms w/ stock axle?
« on: March 10, 2015, 02:21:13 PM »
I'm in the middle of a teardown and rebuild of my 87r. I already have the Sport LSR +2/+1 Arms ordered and paid for. I noticed when I took the axle apart that there are 15mm spacers that could conceivably be moved to the inside of the hubs, widening the rear by 30mm, or approximately an inch and 3/16. Is this an acceptable approach and stance/width for an "aggressive recreational" rider? The axle, amazingly, isn't rusted and shows almost zero runout when mounted on centers and indicated. Thanks for any input.

With 4-1 rims you'll be about 47" in the front and 46" in the rear. Should be fine imo it's better to be wider in the front than the other way around.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't take it into consideration, but I'll also be running 11" rears as opposed to the 10" that are there now, so it should end up fairly close to even.
