The angle of the sun, not much dust build up on the machine... I'd say that pic was right off the start

Nice machine!

Thanks for the pics, exactly what I needed, I appreciate it. So on the tubing sizes, is the main cross tube 1", while the four tubes to the frame are 3/4"? Or are they 1-1/4" and 1"?

Thanks,

Doug

Thanks Troy.
D Berg The tubing sizes are 1" and 3/4". She sticks out pretty far tho. Past the front tires, so care needs to be taken when transporting your quad....as in... don't break out the back window of your truck. haha
Dez for some reason my teammates always wanted me to race the first section. I'm not sure if they were skeert or they just didn't want to deal with the dust. I started quite a few races out of Pahrump Nev. heading uphill, straight East, right into the rising sun, behind a buttload of other quads. I don't miss that. Can't see diddly. Talk about high anxiety. That picture must have been taken right after the start, The tires aren't even dirty.

Thanks, going by the fab shop tomorrow to drop the airbox off, am bringing a few pics with me. I think I am going to have it tucked in a little more, don't want it sticking out quite that far. Will for sure plan on posting some pics if I get it done.

So is that picture from a BITD race? (Was thinking it was with the Q50 number, plus the yellow sticker right behind the front number plate looks like a BITD tech sticker.) When I was racing BITD as a team, I would ALWAYS make my teamate start, he was just a better dust rider then me, at least that was my excuse! haha. Figure you have to know where the teams strengths and weaknesses are, right? Good thing he was faster then me in the dust, because I agree with you, racing straight into the rising sun is not fun at all! Raced ironman at the Parker 250 the last four years, same thing, straight into the sun in the morning. It is just something you can never get used to. I always hope for wind, or a big rain the week before!

Awesome bike!
Anyone looking for a great builder I highly recommend the following.
For CP products dealers I would recommend:
Arlan at LED(site sponsor), Pete Schemberger at Hybrid Engineering, Mat Shearer at Shearer Custom Pipes, Dennis Packard at Packard Racing, and Nate McCoy of McCoys Peformance.

Other great builders I also would recommend: Neil Prichard, Jerry Hall, Bubba Ramsey and James Dodge.

Yes DBerg BITD somewhere between 97 and 99 maybe. We raced sportsman because there was three of us (pro class only allowed 2 riders) so, at the very least, we started behind all the pros. You know all about that being an IRONMAN. You must be a tough *******.

Alright....Back in town after being away for six and a half months.(yes...again) Before I left I had a talk with the off road guy at Ohlins and he helped me out with my front spring rate. As soon as I got back I ordered the springs. Took her out for a shake down run today. The guy nailed it. I haven't had her out since I put the LT front end on. This was also the first time out with the Scotts stabilizer on. I fabbed the mount myself so I was keeping my eyes on it.....The front end was awesome and the damper too. It's been so long since I've been riding I forgot what to bring. Sorry for babbling I'm just stoked I got to take the old war horse out again.

In other words amazing build, best I've seen in awhile! The "you won the internet" is just a silly way of pointing that out, as if posting pics of Builds online was an unofficial Competition.

Still an awesome quad, wish I could own one just like it. I did have a local fab shop copy your bumper. When i get around to it, I will post some pics, I think it turned out awesome. Got one for both my 250R and 450R. I may actually be able to ride my 250R here in the next month or so, its almost ready!

Skeans1 the quad has pretty much been sitting since post #52. I welded some pins on the front of the airbox so I could use some brake line clamps to hold it on(a trick I stole from Troybilt)and fabbed up a little bracket for a couple of led tail lights. I think I'll take it down to just one light it's a little goofy.
I may sell her. She just sits. Registration may be a problem tho. Even tho I bought the frame from Laeger brand new I don't have a receipt and there's no numbers on the frame. The motor came in a three wheeler that I bought and I have no papers on that either.
If I sell her I'll probably swap out the front end for the Laeger stuff. It's standard travel stuff and I may have to take a hit on value but I still have another big fat project quad that could really use that front end. We'll see. Thanks for the interest.

Oh Yeah......HAPPY HOLIDAYS......
