chain guide to skid plate clearance?
« on: April 06, 2015, 08:52:41 PM »
The swing arm is a LSR and the skid plate is prm from my old oem swing arm which i redrilled the rear holes and welded the piece underneath that just goes around the rear nuts and protects them. Anyway, it doesnt seem like a chain guide will have space. Id like to get a T.M. guide if it will fit. Perhaps somebody can break out the measuring tape and see how long the guide is?

Have to cut one or the other...I've seen Sameltoe post a pic of his with the chain slider cut and I bought a swingarm that had the skid plate cut.  Hope this helps.

The TM has rollers on the bottom so that must be a no go if i opt to cut the guide which i think id rather do. Any clue where the pic sam posted of his cut guide is?

You can still see my marker line lol I just held it up close and dotted each end and then with a straight line connected and sanded to the bold ace line :)
