I see the videos on YouTube of guys doing it with torches and compressed air is there any other good way? I don't have a torch and it doesn't look like the safest thing to do.

Are you talking dents or getting the carbon build up loose? I use oil eater for carbon build up works great with a little heat

but, if your asking about dents...I agree the compressed air and torch combo doesn't look safe but people have been doing it for years.  make sure that the dented part is not worn thin from frame rubbing (might have a blow out).  I have also heard that guys have filled them with water, capped of the ends and put in the freezer.  last option is to send it to a professional pipe repair shop to fix the dents.

fill it full of Mr clean. it will be carbon free in 24 hrs.

I will try that I have an lrd adjustable so I just have to try and seal it really good. Is it the disinfect spray?

mr clean liquid not spray. comes in gallon jugs. works even better when its warm. my dad used to have a parts washer full and heated it with 2 block heaters. it made old cylinder heads look like new.
