A Arm Question on Laegers
« on: July 27, 2015, 10:37:05 PM »
Hi, My son got an 89 frame and got a set of Laeger +2 +1 standard travel a arms with moog ball joints and came with new tierods. He got a set of 450R shocks, and has 89 spindles. The camber is way off and the ball joints are all the way out. We have never tried adding any aftermarket a arms to a quad so needing some help/advice. Its probably something so simple but just not seeing it. Thanks !

What do you mean the camber is way off? You have negative camber (tops of the tire is closer the the bike than the bottom of the tire) or positive camber (bottom of the tire is closer the the bike than the top of the tire). You stated the ball joints are all the way out, so I am assuming you have too much negative camber. If this is the case make sure you have the Correct length shocks for these arms, make sure the sag is set properly all the way around the bike and then check your toe. Not a bad idea to set the front end with the rider on the bike.

I my experience setting a front end is an iterative process. Set camber, set caster, set toe and repeat.

Best regards
-Jason
