Ok so I had my old post taken down. Wasn't happy how I presented it, plus a few things changed so here it is for the final time. I started with the engine because these parts where hardest to find for me. My engine has the  appearance of the 86-87 Trx250r but it has all the updated 88-89 internals. Only parts on the engine that aren't NOS are the stator Cover, clutch cover, Cylinder and crank., everything else, every nut, bolt, washer and gear is all NOS including the center cases.  The crank is a rebuilt 88-89 with pro x rod kit. The Hinson mod and plate are new along with pump assembly and pump cover. I've been asked many times what I used for color on the parts I painted. I used Duplicolor Storm Gray Spray paint and Duplicolor Clear coat on the Side covers. The specs of the engine are 87 Cylinder with 67mm bore, 19cc cool head and ported by non other than Bubba Ramsey. The cylinder was untouched before porting.

Red is one of my favorite colors and I think it looks and goes really good with the gray. Here the engine is pretty much finished up except exhaust flange, reds and intake boot. Also using a 2001 CR250 Ignition and a Hinson Works Clutch Basket.

The frame I will be using at this time is an 89 Frame. I bought the frame already powdered so I don't know the color code for it. Also am using the 88-89 swing arm. I love how they look. Aside from the frame and oem swing arm everything else will be after market including the shocks. Will eventually have an extended axle and plus 2 or 3 long travel a arms up front. The seat is a new black oem seat and the gas tank is from an 87. I think the red is a bit deeper than the later models. Will also be using 89 spindles and oem rear hubs on this. The front bumper is an nos R.I.S. Designs. It's different from the norm and I like it.

Heres the tank and seat I will be using. Also will be using a set of all black Roll Design Pegs. May add nerf bars later but for now just the pegs. Shocks are Long Travel Elka stage 3 at 19 1/4 length eye to eye.

Don't even want hear anything from you Jon. How many times have you rebuilt your bike this year. When it's done it will be just how I want it. I don't mind taking my time.

Engine looks pretty sick man. Building with NOS components freaked me out at first, but take your time and it works out fine,

Good start to the build

Thanks TBone, was nerve racking putting this stuff together cause I built everything myself and have never built one of these before. I won't stop being nervous  till I fire it up and I take the first ride.

Thanks guys. Got a little done but not much. Got the engine mocked up in the frame with the bolts hand tightened. Also rebuilt my rear shock linkage with a pivot works kit. They really are nice kits. Also I know my new engine mounts don't match but I don't know the color code for my frame so I think I'm going to leave it for now depending on how much it bothers me as I get more done. Next update I will have my new rear swing arm pivot seals in, oem pivot bolt, linkage and shock in.
