Also I know my new engine mounts don't match but I don't know the color code for my frame so I think I'm going to leave it for now depending on how much it bothers me as I get more done.

Looking really nice. Your taking your time to do it right. I suggest you get some Pumashine polished motor mounts for the front. It will look really nice with your cool head as well as not having to see that color difference. Just a suggestion.

Thanks for the suggestion I hadn't even thought of that. Maybe I can get a raw set and see if I can get the color matched to the frame cause I'd like to stick with the red.

The lighter red on the motor mounts will not be as noticeable when you put the seat and gas tank on. They are pink compared to the frame. When I got done with my blue bike build we counted 43 shades of blue on the bike.

So little update. Got my rear shock and swing arm all squared away. Has new Oem chain slider and pivot seals. I didn't rebuild the bearings in the swing arm cause they felt really smooth and didn't have any play. Also got in my VForce 3 reeds and Upp intake manifold. Bolt order is together an in the process of being placed. I think it looks pretty cool with the Oem swinger and black and red shock. Goes with my theme.

Will have a few more pics soon. Progress will be slow though as of right now but As much as I'd like to be done soon, I can wait. Already been almost 2 years what's a little more time. Just ordered most of my hardware. All Oem. Never thought bolts would be as much as they are.

I have many old bolts I want to have zinc plated one day. But I did the same ordered a bunch of all the common sizes. A lil spendy but it looks like new. I could not get the short 6mm bolts with the 8mm drive. Honda replaced them with the 10mm drive. But my service guy in town has them all for like 50 cents each.

I had an aftermarket bolt kit but I sold it. Certain things don't fit as well as Oem,at least on an Oem frame. Even with what I ordered I only got about 40% of what i needed. The most expensive bolts are the a arm bolts an nuts. Very pricey

So little update. Got my reeds and Upp intake in. Also got my head stay, new rear master cylinder and brake lever on. I hope it's not to gaudy with all the red and turns out looking ok. Also got a new shifter. It's a pro design power shifter I think the name is. It's a little shorter than the stock length. Also received most of my Oem bolts in. Soon I will order the rest. Took me a little finagling to get my head stay to line up. Had to loosen everything and lift the engine up a bit but I got it.

So there's been a new development since my last post. Kinda moving in reverse again but it's for a good reason. A good buddy hooked me up with some of these and since everything is new in there already this is the perfect time to put them in, rather than down the road when things are used. Puting new on new is the right way to do things and fortunately I have the means to do that. Engine will come out and the new gears are going in this week. I'm pumped I got them so for sure down the road I will do a bigger top end at some point. Also here's a picture side by side with the oem. I've never actually seen a set in person but the Yukons are definitely beefier than the oem gears and very well made. I also found a few other small things I had been looking for which will be here in the very near future. Also found the rear master guard IVe been looking for, for a while. Thanks Jon!

So haven't been on in a while and haven't gotten much further on this build but it is headed in a good direction. The oem frame has since been sold and I'm having a Narrow cr500 link built as we speak. And No it's not a Walsh. Since my last post I've acquired new oem plastics, new cr500 linkage, Roll Design Plus 4 front end & stem and a bunch of other stuff. Hopefully within the coming weeks my frame will be done and I will start building.
