Crappy job on rear fenders
« on: July 05, 2016, 06:47:36 PM »
Okay guy. I got the bike a while back and this is what rear fenders looked like. I'm just looking for some pics to point me in the right direction. IF these can even be salvaged. Lol. I tried to Google race cuts but can't get a nice pic of the rear. Any help would be awesome. Maybe an idea of what I can do?

Looks like the guy that cut them was having a bad day. You could make them flat tops like the banshee guys do. Unfortunately that's about the only way you can match them up since the left side is so far off.

Yea lol. I actually think he said his kid was the one that did it. Should I just Google flat top plastics or something to get a pic?

Awesome. Yea I was just looking at a bunch of pics. Now the hard part, actually trying to attempt it. Lol. Gonna just sketch it out first. Maybe a paper template to mirror. I have seen people doing that. Smart. Thanks a ton for the help man. Gets me in the right direction

Use a pencil or crayon to lay out the cut you want, after cutting one side use this to make a template for the other side: http://trx250r.org/threads/5828-DIY-fender-cutting-templates ... I've had real good luck matching fenders using this method.

The previous owner cut these perfect OEMs short. I don't think it looks too bad.

No I like yours. But on mine where he cut upwards on the right side I would have had to make it super short
