WTF Lonestar - Manufacturing Mistake or Normal?

oldschoolr if you put your front peg stud 2" further forward  where mine is, does it look like it would clear the pipe? Haven't bolted my engine in, holding off till I figure it out with LSR. Rath said they'd make me custom bars, might just do that and eat the cost.

Ok i just looked at your picture and yours is different than mine. Mine is 21.5in if i remember correctly but i didn't have any fitment issues  with the pipe because the pipe mounts above the nerfs.

That would make sense, mines on the complete other side of the frame rail. If you were to take a guess on the location of where my front stud is would it be in the way of the exhaust? Any pictures close up and level with the propeg stud? Thanks!

Cant quite tell how low the pipe dips, but its going to be tight. No resolution offered from lonestar, they are saying the rear bolt hole for the footpegs is not the center of the propeg stud, thus the reason for my 23" measument being wrong and cant accept any responsibility. Bullshit.

I haven't been able to make time to test fit the engine to the frame but did mock up the exhaust just to see how it would fit. I'm running a trx5 pipe by esr and its not a very fat pipe by comparison to other big bore pipes. I think I might get lucky and have it fit with only a minor amount of rubbing. In the worst case scenario I will cut the pegs cleanly off and make a billet insert plug from aluminum to make it look finished. I could use that as mount point for the pegs or turn a custom adapter for nerfs on my lathe.

The other news I have is that I found a very cheap set of pro-armor nerf bars (bottom picture) that are made for a yfz450r. They are stock 21.8" CTC and with a little stretching I was able to get them to 22.5". As long as there are no pipe fitment issues, these should mount up pretty nicely and look good as well. (top nerf is an Alba nerf at ~15" CTC for the 88-89 TRX250r)
