TORN Round 8, TexPlex, Midlothian, TX

What a fun weekend. They made this new park up just south of DFW for all things off-road. I don't know how many tracks they actually have there but there's a bunch. Well they hosted TORN's round 8 there. And we had our own track rather than running the bike track after they were done. We even got an hour's practice beforehand which doesn't happen anymore with this new format so that was nice.
So there was 8 quads in the Over 30 class Sunday. That Pro that moved down to run the age group rather than try and keep up with his own kind if ya know what I mean was there again. He won the last race. This race he actually came over to Doug and I (the guy I'm fighting with for the championship this year) and told us not to worry that he doesn't want to mess with our points battle and is just gonna get the jump and check out so we won't have to contend with him. That REALLY pissed me off. Condescending POS. So scratch the plan, new mission was to give him hell today even if it killed me or the quad. He got the holeshot and I got 2nd on it. After about 5 turns, he stalled it in a corner and I got around him. Held it through most of the 1st lap still I stalled it in a corner and he got back around me. I spent the next 20 minutes riding my a$$ off trying to catch him again and did. He went wide on this real tight corner and I was able to squeeze by and get back into the lead and held it the rest of the race. I actually finished a little over 1 minute ahead of him at the end. Goal accomplished. Way to hang it out there little R. She was screaming this weekend too! Even ended up grabbing 2nd overall for all the quads. And if any of you keep up with me on Facebook, you'll know I had hell switching the axle out the night before the race. Thought it would be easy and pretty straightforward but it fought me all the way. Actually split my antifade nut and ran it that way. Only thing holding it together was the tighten down bolt. But she did it. Shut the Pro up and put some valuable points between me and Doug so now I'm 12 up on him with only 3 races left and I still have a drop race I get to use if need be. Fingers crossed...
Hope the vid works ok for you guys. It's a little longer than usual but I edited it to where I got 1st back and finished that lap off. Hope you all enjoy as much as I did!

Thanks! Felt good too. Not just the win but how the R was holding her own and pulling on most of the field.

It really was. It's an off-road park and they're suppose to start letting quads ride there soon. They have multiple bike tracks and UTV courses. Not to mention mountain bike coursers and jet boat rides. Pretty neat place really. Just Google TexPlex if you're ever in the area and check it out.
