Thanks guys. I have the lowering link adjusted to 7" eye to eye. Best I can tell that is factory for the 86. I have the 18.5" swingarm. Need to find out which shock I have.

Aluminum color body. Navy blue coil. Engraved "CT Shaw"

EDIT: I think I should adjust my link 1" shorter to match my -1" swingarm. (18.5" is 86/87 and 19.5" is 88/89 swingarm)

If anyone can throw a tape measure on a dog bone for me I would appreciate it. I think 7" may be the length of 88/89 dogbone so 6" should be 86/87. (center of bolt hole to center of bolt hole)

You have your lengths mixed up for years. 88-9 are 18.5 and 86-7 are 19.5

Dang you're right Hickwheeler, thank you.

I have found a couple of frames. looks like I'm going to be spending about $500 on a completely stock frame. That sucks!

If your patient the right deal might pop up but getting the R bug doesn't help any.

Yea, I can't believe it's this hard to get a decent one. The whole collector part of it sucks, but I guess it's one of the things that make these R's so cool. There definitely isn't one on every street.

That's great news! Looking forward to seeing how it goes swapping all your parts over to it.

Haha yep. It is keeping my attention a lot more than some of my previous toys.

The swap should go quick. I think I can have it together in a few hours. I can’t wait to hear pop pop and smell the premix!

It’s down to a bear frame now but here is a pic. Swingarm bolt went easily. I also did a little polishing on the side covers. They should clean up pretty good.
