Modifying OEM lower control arm
« on: May 28, 2019, 09:17:01 AM »
I have a  couple sets of OEM 86 control arms that I want to freshen up.  I searched for a thread that I thought was on here where someone cut the lower ball joint off and installed a new one. If anyone has any information on the ball joint used please let me know.  Thanks Loren

I remember there being kits sold to do this.  I will see if any are on ebay.

Here ya go.....keep in mind this is for 450r. But it should be really similar.

...and here is GThunder's website if you need to find the parts. Different companies took over different parts of GThunder. So you might just have to call around a bit.

I think Rich was selling one of those lower ball joint kits for the 250r but that was at least a year ago or more. Maybe send Piney0 a pm & see if he can ask Rich if he still has them.

the 400ex kits should work on the 250r if you can find any.

with a bit of data and a lathe you can get a kit made fairly inexpensively.

thoughts?
