« on: February 17, 2020, 11:21:16 PM »

I am biased. I have ran LRD/LED for many years. I can't testify to making just a pipe swap on a TRX. I have ran his engines and pipes. Always smiles.

Before I had started using Arlan I had Streamline racing do a mild build on my banshee. Ran it for a while and liked the bike. It was running old school FMF woods pipes. I swapped over to some LRD adjustables and they did make a noticable difference. Even shortened up they made more bottom and mid. Still felt the same on top.

At that time I was riding sand, but was hitting mostly sand trails.

The fmf fatty is a good "all around " pipe. I had one on my 310 for a while. I eventually switched to the ESR TRX5 pipe. I didn't notice any power gain. So on your cylinder will it change anything? If it does you probably won't feel it.
I have never owned a LRD/LRD pipe,  but have heard plenty of good things. I do know one person that didn't like their LED pipe. Those hand coned pipes sure do look cool though. If I was in your shoes I would save the money for a bigbore cylinder and porting lol....

well the reason i was wondering if it was worth it is because i am doing my motor right now and already have it ported by ct and LED is doing the bore to 69mm on the stock cylinder. and then i will resleve the stock cylinder once i blow it up. i will have a hot rods crank in it and prox piston a cr125 clutch and a 23.5 mm piston. im sorry but im just really excited about it because this is the first motor im builing.

Never tried one but I’d like to.  The look sweet.  Arlen’s goal is acceleration.  Probably work best with his porting.

No need to be sorry. I know that excited feeling. I still get it every time I look at my R. My wife on the other hand looks at my R like it has taken something away from her lol.
Arlen makes a great quality pipe for sure and if you want one, get one.  I think it's great you are coming to the 250R meet. Bring lots of gas lol!

Are you looking at getting the 250C?  There were lots of championships won on the 250B in both MX and XC.  I’m not sure what the differences are between the B in the C.   I think the C is more of an all-around pipe with a bit more top and then the B but again I am not sure.

If Arlan has your motor ask him his suggestion on what pipe to use on your motor for your riding style. Arlan is a honest guy and will suggest a pipe that is not his if it suits your needs.

+1 for LeD pipes, I love mine and in my opinion they are the best looking pipes out there! I only swapped my pipe when I stepped up to a 370, but can say I’m very happy either way.
