88/89 stock foot pegs
« on: March 26, 2020, 12:32:31 PM »
I'm looking to "borrow" or buy a 88/89 stock foot peg. I need to use one so I can reverse engineer the foot peg mount. I only have 86 trx250r's and atc's so I can't use a frame.

I think I have a new 88-89 style you could borrow. I will check tonight and let you know.

I put 450R  pegs on my '86' and I like them. If you can reverse engineer the 88/89  style foot pegs, the adapters for the 450 pegs are simple to make, and I want to spend my time on other stuff. The pegs are cheap, work fine, and can be improved on by adding an outer loop to the outer portion if desired. Prices on foot pegs are just too high for me.

Are you going to be making any of the 450r to 250r peg adapters?

I just need one footpeg and nothing else. I need to duplicate the mounting tabs on the end of the footpegs.

I don't have any plans to. That's a pumashine product and I don't want to step on his toes.

Those are both beautiful and well thought out/designed/built, but without even asking, I'm sure they are out of my price range. Although I could make them, I want to spend my time on other things. I can appreciate the time/skill needed on those, but they are not for me. Nice work
