RPM. Cheap knockoff are sometimes slightly off in diameter.  Rpm uses quality bearings too.

Evan:
PRP, RPM or Lonestar.  Plenty of others made also that i never owned (ModQuad being one).  I have a Lonestar in my stock framed 87.  RPM in my Laeger.  I wouldn’t use an OEM.

Dave Moore is still around into the R’s heavy.  I believe the only carriers Dave has are the ones he modifies (lightens).  I’m not sure what carrier (manufacturer Dave uses).

on his website it sounds like he sells them but then again there isnt any description on it and it might just be that the site is outdated but you are probably right

As long as you get one with dual row bearings, I don't think it matters what you get. A zerk fitting in the center helps with maintenance also. Forged, billet, I don't think it matters, An anti fade nut, or whatever they call it, I think is as important as the carrier.

In 32 years i've never had any problems with my oem carrier & single row bearings. Only time they have issues is when there not maintained... Unless you pull the seals out of the side of the bearing facing in what does a zerk in the carrier accomplish?
