Decided to build the Missile.
A couple of pics of the tear down and set the motor in place to start the surgery.

It should be done in the next 2 or 3 months. All the parts are ordered and on the way. The forks are the only unknown at the  moment still not sure if I'm doing the inverted conversion or not.

I believe the ktm sx85 front forks have the correct travel. You just need to get them set up for the machine and your weight.

Yeah the KTM forks are the correct length, having trouble finding someone with the triple clamps for the forks.

Yeah that's the trouble.  My buddy Luke researched forks and triples for his 86 ATC and he couldn't find anyone machining triples.  He is planning to machine his own when time allows.

I’m pretty sure bvc trikes can machine the triples for whatever diameter fork leg your using..the guy who bought my trike frame had the triples in the pictures I posted machined for 2008 crf450r legs and they came from bvc with the matching axle and billet hub..he had a suspension guy shorten them and set them up for the build..

I don't have the equipment to machine my own, wish I did.

This will most likely be the direction I go … the BVC triples with the CRF forks... eventually. For now I'm going to re-spring the OEM forks. Put a big dent in the bank account already on this project.

Swingarm pivot bolt showed up today. Engine is positioned to line up with the swingarm jack shaft sprocket. Time to fab a swing arm spacer and engine mounts.
