I’ve never seen one that’s had any signs of being taken apart and re assembled.

On another note, it's sad to see that the end of the era that allowed these engines and bikes has come, and we're left to salvaging the crumbs..
The people that alarm us about climate, etc that require us to give up creating and owning are our conquerors, not our caregivers.

Needs a better storage rack and more engine stands.  3 came from Texas.  3 came from Michigan.  1 came from Illinois.  1 came from Indiana.  1 came from Pennsylvania.  1 came from right here in Ohio.

I had 2 others that are long gone.  They came from Arizona and Illinois. 

Seen guys state that these were $800 a few years ago.  Those few have no clue (then again they never owned one).  If you can find one 4k or less I’d think that’s a steal considering used and abused stock cylinder engines are $2k plus.

They seem to be good investments. I wish I'd bought an 86 that came my way a bunch of years ago. I may still pick one up as a reminder of how greatness can be pruned by lesser minds.

My issue of a mild case of a hoarding problem 🤷

Initially I never looked at it as an investment.  I couldn’t stand the fact that parts were discontinued…at least that’s what I tell my self.  Now it will help my 401R plan lol.  I’d say they are worth more parted out.

As I mentioned 4k for a take out today in 2024 I’d say is a good price.  Now parted what are parts worth to someone.  2014 through 2016 was a hell of a time for engines being parted.  Check out these parts
