Ok boys and girls...here is the timeline of all of the events for this year's Tour. Since more and more people are coming to the Tour for a whole week, we will be having Meet n Greets every night at 8pm from Sunday thru Friday. Come to Shelter #3 to meet people and find riding buddies.
The Tour officially begins Wednesday, September 25th with the 3pm Group ride. We will meet up at Shelter #3 and head out at 3pm. This is a great way for "Newbies" to safely Tour the dunes. We will do the 3pm Group rides everyday.
Friday morning at 10am we will be having an ATV Rodeo. Travis Vanderweide is hosting this year's event, so direct any questions or comments to him (not Gavin). It will be held in the same location as last year's, if you don't know where that is, just follow the crowd out the South dune entrance and go left, you can't miss it.
Saturday is the busiest day of the Tour. We will do the Group Photo just outside of the South entrance, at the bottom of the dune to the left. Again, follow the people heading out. If you have multiple bike and you want them in the photo, I suggest you start getting out on the sand around 2pm...we will be taking the official Group Photo at 3pm sharp. This is so that the guys who want to clean up their bikes for the Show n Shine have time to do so.
The Show n Shine will be held in Shelter #3 from 5:30 until 6:30. Bring your bike and show it off. We will put cups on all bikes and give everyone a ticket to vote for their favorite. At 6:30 we will count tickets to determine the winner of this year's trophy (provided by Bubba Ramsey at BHP), to be handed out at the Potluck Dinner.
The Potluck Dinner will be held in Shelter #3 and will begin at 7pm. Please bring your Potluck dishes to the shelter between 6:15 and 6:30 so that we can get everything ready to start eating at 7pm. Let's have full participation for this year's dinner. If you don't cook, bring drinks, chips, or dessert. As always my wife and I will be providing all of the plates, bowls, plastic ware, and cup for the dinner. A special thanks goes out to all of our "meat smokers" for always going above and beyond!!! I'm beyond excited to see everybody again and to meet all of our "Newbies"(that is a term of endearment, not a slur). See you all in a few weeks.
