Same part number but looks like Honda no longer makes the cap in black.  I’m sure there’s plenty of old stock around.

New color looks off white or grayish

I recently seen an engine build and it had the new color cap on it.  Thus the reason for the post here.  For future oem restorations to use the correct “color”.

I've seen similar changes like this with bolts also. Got some oem caliper mounting bolts that were clear zinc & ordered the same part number bolts a few years later & they were black. Also seen where some bolts that were originally yellow zinc are now clear zinc but same part number.

I have gone to aluminum since black isn't avail anymore. It's more rigid to compress the sealing oring with, so I figure it's an upgrade.
I dn't think Honda uses the clear and black zinc interchangeably for a given part number. bolts that end in 07, like this as far as I have documented are black, and 00 are zinc.
