I hope that is a temporary thing and not permanent.

This is definitely something we need to keep in production

I agree 100%.  I think Mr. Sanders should only offer them in the as cast finish (no coated black option).  At the same time only offer them in the stock deck height.  Just my thoughts.

I agree make them just as a stock replacement case would probably help out with time and machine setup trying to cut different deck heights and bore sizes let your builder handle all that

it must be a supply and demand issue.  not to state the obvious.

he could look at marketing options.  when you purchase a cylinder...

Looks like boss racing is trying to get into the 250r case market

I'm skeptical of their quality of work. But at least someone is going to pick up the ball

Just based off what I've heard about the pump shafts they manufacture I won't be trying the cases out anytime soon.

Is there any cases in stock at ESR still? Might be worth a call if no one here knows.

I really hope this is a temporary problem. We were well on the way to having complete engines available

Our friend got in his Rob Selvey squabble work recently but there was something interesting to what he said. I have no idea if it is true but he said boss was going to have those case made in China or Taiwan. I hope that they are not a China knockoff copy of the esr hd case that they put all of that work into making. We do need cases and discontinued items available but I don't think that cheap China crap is what we need. If a company is having esr and cpi products copied or simi copied in China I will not be a fan.

I'll flip my welding hood down and get the JB weld out before I use some China case halves lol

Dave Moore and Rob Selvy are stepping up and offering oem case repair. I guess Dave is buying the required tooling to make this happen. So that's a plus

For those interested Pete @ hybrid engineering has been repairing cases for as long as he has been building 250R engines. He already has everything to do the job including being a skilled machinist and welder. He is also fairly local to most people in the Pacific northwest.

Boss was going to have those case made in China or Taiwan.

If this is true, they are making a huge mistake. The Chinese don't make a worthy product, of any sort.

Has anyone talked to Eddie? Making the molds for these halves is 80% of effort. Who owns the molds?

I’d say ESR owns them...

Here's what Arlan had to say. Maybe Eddie did in fact decide not to sell after all?
