Re: TRX250R Motor in a TRX450R Chassis F’n a hole taking credit

John, your build/finished quad is my absolute favorite 250R powered 450 oem chassis quad.  So very nice.

Re: 450R Swingarm I cut about 1” off the link mount and drilled a new 10mm hole. Had to use some aluminum spacers to take up the gap between the 450r linkage and the 250r mount. keeps everything centered and allows proper torque on the bolt without stressing the link mount. The way it works out, I would bet other linkages for the 450R could be used and the shock length and shaft travel would be in the same wheelhouse as what a 450R would use with the same linkage setups. There’s so many 450R parts available new and used but in good shape. Won’t be able to use the 250R link anymore without fabbing a new link mount though. The frame would obviously still work with a no link swingarm.

Re: Tips and tricks
For anyone that wants to replace their Rusty & corroded Rear Master Cylinder rod - the Suzuki (Part#69670-00A00) fit's like a charm!

:)

I recognize that rear MC :) It's been working 4 years now with the Suzuki push-rod & had no issues.

Re: Tips and tricks
If you lose the discontinued collar that goes with the bolt that holds your front OEM fender in place.....no worries...just replace it with this HONDA Part#90104-MEN-A30.....It has the shoulder built into it!

:D

thank you!  i had a post somewhere where I was talking about how I thought the R came with an encapsulated collar, but no one knew what I was talking about.  guess the previous owner swapped them out
