Has anyone ever ran 23" front tires on a TRX250R?  I follow a Banshee guy on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/mrkayak/ who is running 23" buffed GBC MX tires.  I solely ride in dunes and would love a little more "cushion".  I run a 23" buffed mohawk on my 85 ATC so I am aware of the weight and height.  To me, the Skat Trak mohawks just look tiny at 21". Currently running a 21x10-8 rear tire and like the look of a taller front tire.

I grew up in the SW and Glamis... What psi do you run in your tires? I run 2.5-3psi in the front on 21" skat trak mohawks in the front, and 3-3.5psi Hauler's in the rear. That made a large enough difference for me to be comfortrable enough with the chop, and still keep a lower center of gravity for fast riding in the smooth.

This modification has always had me looking at it a little funny... I did rough calculation on the CR spring vs the 88-9, and the CR spring is roughly the same rate, but shorter.I imagine the 400ex plate could be skipped, along with the thrust bearing washer if the stock 88-9 springs were used (or barnett, etc  spring) with the al washer instead of the CR springs. Neil I think used to also recommend scuffing the 400ex plate too to make it more abrasive, which isn't a great solution, so I'm not sure how much thought he put into it when he came up with this mod for his races. Either way, I suspect that increasing clamping force is more desireable than moving the pressure plate further from the basket to increase spring tension. The spring tension at a given compression level can be measured fairly easily with a drill press and a scale.

What is the cylinder, carb, and full jet specs?  Are there any lean "spots" in the throttle position?  Maybe your quad is rich at idle, maybe it's rich on the main but lean in the middle somewhere?

You've now ISOLATED the coil.......so you will have to add a grounding strap from the aluminum mount to your motor or you will not get a spark.

In September of 2015, AEP partnered with The Riverside Company, a global private equity firm, as part of its recapitalization to support its future growth plans.

They've owned them for a while now......so hopefully this means they haven't stopped production of parts for our 'R's
