Title: LED exhaust mounting.am I missing anything?
Post by: Action69 on October 13, 2018, 11:05:44 AM: Hello all I purchased this complete exhaust used and I’m wondering if I’m missing anything?im test fitting it and it doesn’t line up too well.Im also wondering if I’m missing any mounts.It has one on the silencer,one on the expansion chamber that is way off from the head stay mounting hole and one hook for a spring closest to cylinder.This is also an adjustable head pipe so I’m concerned how it will line up once I start messing with the length.any input would be much appreciated..Also can anyone identify which pipe this is?I bought it a while back and can’t remember this way if I call Arlen i properly identify what I’m working with..Thank you..

Ya mine only has the one spring at the exhaust flange

Post by: hickwheeler on October 13, 2018, 01:29:15 PM: Also the silencer just uses a 3/4" spacer and longer bolt to mount. I still run two spring to the head pipe. They just both share the one hook point. Yours is looking a little more like a 350d pipe. Look close one the backside of the mount on the expansion chamber. Mine is lightly scribed there for identification.

That "one" spring mount can take two springs to the flange.

I'd also recommend using insulated exhaust hangers for the silencer mount AND for the pipe-to-frame mount (just offset it and LED's mounting bar lines up fine).
