Re: DIY epoxy floor coating The only time I've done this, I was told to rent a shot blaster to use on the bare concrete to give it "tooth" so the paint would stick and maintain warranty on the paint. Total pain to do, but 16 years later there is no lifting of the paint. Looking for a new shop now, so I'll probably have to do it again.

Re: RADIATOR HOSE CLAMPS I use a lot of the European style hose clamps with Mercedes being my favorite. BMW's are also good as both are the type that won't tear the hose, especially important with silicone hoses. You can also buy the wider banded stainless clamps that have a tail that protects the hose material from the clamp. Sometimes called F.I. clamps.
The European clamps are usually a 6mm or 7mm hex, along with a #2 Phillips and a slot head, making trail repairs simpler.

Re: CR250 ignition lighting coil Your handlebar mount idea and it's reasoning brings up a very good point. Having an'86' there are drilled/tapped holes that could be used as a mount, and even the stock headlight frame could be mod'ed to support an Led light bar. The mount could be simple enough so that it could installed for that occasional night ride and removed the rest of the time.

Re: I did it again Mine's almost done ;D the 350X motor is tall for the "R" frame, and it needs to be drop'ed at the lower frame rails. I added a BIG oil cooler and stainless oil lines, and have a Trail Tech Vector and cylinder head sensor, and A fin mount sensors for the cooler to monitor temps. I have a 400EX pipe and carb to run with a custom adapter to mount a K&N filter. I have a Supertrapp muffler mocked up, just need to add the 10" of pipe to finish it off. I need to weld a couple brackets on the frame and then send it out for powder, everything else is done.

Re: 450r to 250r peg adapters There is nothing that i know of for the'88/89' model years, but the pieces for the '86/87' are easy to fab up. I used 7075 aluminum to make mine and the 450R footpegs cost less then $20.00

Re: 2019 Winchester bay 250r meet! I haven't finalized anything but I'm considering coming in for the 1pm to 3pm Saturday meet/lunch. My 'R" isn't done yet, but I wouldn't mind the drive to Winchester as I live just north of Seattle, would it be OK if I showed up without an 'R' There are a couple of points I would like to scope out on your 'R's to clarify in my mind, as I just don't see any up here.

Re: Air filters I think oiled cotton is the go to, because the options are slim to none. Also motorcycles, on and off road/quads get used very little compared to the daily driver that might go 20K a year.

Re: Feb 2020 Oregon Dunes I remember riding out of Florance on Thanksgiving weekend. Sand was hard and the mist was heavy, we got wet but not too cold. The place was empty. Stayed at an RV park (KOA ?)close to the sand. There were some large wind blown edges on some of the dunes that were scary if you weren't careful. The trails through the grasses were great to run at speed, This was a loooong time ago. I bought a rifle at Walmart on the way home.

Re: Swingarm Skid plate OK, I measured it. My swing arm is a +2". My measurements are close, not how I would normally do it but, here ya go;
from the swing arm pivot centerline its ~6" to the first skid mount, the mounts are 5"3/16" apart. Then it is 14"3/8" from the first mount, to the mount closest to the axle carrier,             Those mounts are 3"5/16" apart. All are tapped to 8mm x 1.25mm Of course that is "IF" Lonestar got them right. and I don't have a lot of faith in them.
Swing arm measures 21".5" center to center.
